About Us
The mission of STEM Elements+ is to support micro-businesses, start-ups, SMEs, and organisations in applying STEM expertise to solve real-world challenges and drive measurable growth.
We work alongside businesses at every stage to translate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into practical, commercially viable solutions. Through consultative support, collaborative delivery, and applied innovation, we help organisations improve performance, develop new ideas, and build sustainable operations.
STEM Elements+ exists to bridge the gap between technical knowledge and business execution—ensuring ideas move beyond concept and into implementation.
Introducing the Crew
Our team brings together experience across STEM, education, business, and community delivery. We work collaboratively to support people, organisations, and communities in turning ideas into practical solutions—combining technical expertise with real-world understanding and a shared commitment to impact.
Founder
Theresa Kassim
STEM Element+ was founded from real-world experience across engineering, construction, infrastructure, energy, business, and entrepreneurship, and from recognising that many strong STEM ideas struggle to progress without the right systems, structure, and commercial support.
Theresa has over eight years’ experience in the engineering and built environment sector, starting with telecommunications infrastructure at Swann Engineering, followed by a trainee site manager placement with Vistry Countryside, and later working on nationally significant energy and infrastructure projects, including National Grid LNG and the Statera (Thurrock) Flexible Generation Project. These roles provided first-hand exposure to project delivery, site management, safety-critical environments, and the importance of effective commercial and project controls.
Alongside industry experience, she completed a BSc in Business Management, an HNC in Construction with Distinction and progressed to an MSc in Quantity Surveying, supported by professional certifications in Project Planning and Control (APM), Primavera P6, Six Sigma Green Belt, and health and safety. I am also an active STEM Ambassador, working to improve access, confidence, and visibility in STEM careers.
In 2025, her work and entrepreneurial contribution were recognised with the Pride in Medway Award and the Black Tech Achievement Award – Entrepreneur of the Year.
Alongside her professional career, she founded Pure Elements Consultany Ltd (technology and business consultancy) and Ensite Builder (a construction management software) to support micro-businesses, startups, and professionals in construction and engineering, as well as others who want to explore technology. These ventures were created to help turn strong STEM ideas into practical, scalable, and commercially viable solutions.
STEM Element+ exists to provide clarity, community, and practical support, helping STEM-driven ideas move from concept to execution with confidence.
